Delete your FableFleet account

FableFleet makes storybook films and bedtime stories for young children, so the details you give us belong to your family. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time, in the FableFleet app (FableFleet: Milestone Stories on Google Play, FableFleet on the App Store) or by email. This page explains how, and exactly what goes.

Before you delete

• Save any films you want to keep. Open the story and tap Save to photos. Deleting removes them for good.
• If you subscribe to Bedtime Unlimited through the App Store or Google Play, cancel the subscription first, in your Apple Account settings or in Google Play subscriptions. We cannot cancel it for you, and it keeps renewing otherwise.

Delete it in the app

1. Open FableFleet and tap the lock in the top corner.
2. Answer the grown-ups question and enter your PIN. This is the parental gate, so a child cannot do this by accident.
3. Go to Settings, then Account.
4. Tap Delete account, then confirm.

Your films are deleted too, so save any you want to keep before you start.

Ask us to delete it

If you no longer have the app, or you bought on our website, email hello@fablefleet.com from the address on your order and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm when it is done, normally within a few days.

What is deleted

• Your account and your email address.
• Your child's name, age, pronouns, and how their character looks.
• The names of the grown-ups in a story and any message you wrote at the end.
• Every storybook film we made for you, and the pictures in it.
• Your child's bedtime stories, including any recorded with their name.
• Any story wishes you sent us.

Deleting in the app does all of this immediately, with no waiting period, and it cannot be undone. If you ask us by email instead, we do it once we have checked the request comes from the account holder, normally within a few days. Either way, our routine encrypted backups are replaced on a rolling basis and are fully overwritten within 30 days.

What we keep, and why

We keep a record of each purchase: the date, the amount, which story was bought, and the receipt number from Apple, Google, or Stripe. Canadian tax law requires businesses to keep sales records for six years, so we cannot delete these, and we keep them for that period. They carry no information about your child: no name, no age, no character details, and no film.

We also ask the companies that store files and send email for us to delete your information from their systems when we delete it from ours.

Delete some things without closing your account

You do not have to close your account to remove your child's details. Email hello@fablefleet.com and tell us what to remove, such as a particular film, the bedtime stories recorded with your child's name, or the name itself. We will delete it and the details behind it, and your account stays open.
