Privacy Policy

FableFleet (“FableFleet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) creates personalized bedtime stories and animated milestone stories for children (each, a “story”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. We take the privacy of families and children seriously, and this policy is written to be read in plain language.

This service is intended for use by adults (parents and legal guardians) who create stories for the children in their care. Children do not create accounts, make purchases, or interact with the service directly.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you create an account, place an order, or join our waitlist, we collect information such as your name, email address, and billing details. To personalize a story, you provide details about the child, which may include the child's first name, the names of family members or loved ones, and a photo you upload of the child.

Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Your full card number is handled directly by Stripe and is not stored on our systems. We receive limited information such as a confirmation of payment and the last digits and card type needed for receipts and support.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we collect standard technical information such as your device type, browser, general location derived from your IP address, and how you use the site. We use this to keep the service secure and to improve it.

How we use information

We use the information you provide to create and deliver your personalized story, to process payments and send receipts, to provide customer support, to send you order updates and, where you have opted in, occasional product news, and to operate, secure, and improve our service. We use the child's name, the names you supply, and the uploaded photo solely to produce the personalized story you ordered.

We do not use children's photos or names for advertising. We do not sell your personal information or your child's information to anyone.

Children's information

We only receive information about a child because a parent or guardian chooses to provide it in order to create a story. We treat this information with extra care. It is used only to produce the requested story and to provide support related to your order. A parent or guardian may ask us at any time to review, correct, or delete the information and photos associated with their child by contacting hello@fablefleet.com.

Because we serve families in the United States as well as Canada, we handle children's information consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We collect a child's information only from a parent or guardian who chooses to provide it, we use it only to create and support the story they requested, we never require a child to disclose more than is needed, and a parent or guardian may review or delete it at any time by contacting us.

Photos and how long we keep them

Photos you upload are used to create the character and the finished story. We retain the photo and the finished story for as long as needed to deliver your order, provide support, and let you re-download or reorder, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. You can request deletion of an uploaded photo or a finished story at any time by emailing us, and we will delete it from our active systems within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep certain records for legal or accounting purposes.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only to the extent they need it to perform their work for us. These include our payment processor, cloud hosting and storage providers, and email delivery providers. These providers are bound to protect your information and may not use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of FableFleet, our customers, or others. If our business is ever involved in a merger or sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, and we will notify you if your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to those who need it.

Your choices and rights

You may access, update, or request deletion of your information by contacting hello@fablefleet.com. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails. Because we serve customers in Canada and the United States, we handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws in Canada, and applicable privacy laws in the United States. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, and we will honor those rights as required by law.

International visitors

We are based in Canada and our service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries. By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed in these locations.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
